In this phase the healing process is over and the inflammation has been completely reduced. Now, your body must finish adapting to its final state. In this case, ceasing the compression of your postoperative faja immediately is too drastic and not good for your health.
The recommended solution during this wine down period is to switch to a comfortable faja that provides intermediate compression. This faja does not have to be made for post-op uses, feel free to use medium compression shapewear and molding fajas.
Remember, always read and follow the manufacturer recommended uses of faja before buying. Does the faja completely cover the area? Is it made of a material that promotes skin breathing, or does it have vitamin complexes such as Vitamin E or Cosmacol Emi? A rule of thumb is the nicer the faja is with your skin and body, the better outcome you will have.
In this phase you will no longer have to use fajas most of the day, and instead you can switch up the usage schedule, approximately two months after surgery.
After that month, or when your doctor tells you to, you can stop using the faja completely, however we recommend you continue using the traditional daily fajas made for shapewear purposes.
Phase Three PostPartum
You can use daily use fajas to treat vaginal births. In the case of caesarean section, you can use them as a final stabilization phase after the use of specialized postpartum girdles, since the caesarean section should be treated as another surgical intervention, so it requires special care.
Additionally, experts recommend the use of girdles for no more than three months after quarantine (Six or eight weeks after delivering baby.) Some even urge to use postpartum girdles for no more than ten days.
